What's Wrong?
Here are questions we've received that we are sharing in hopes
that it may answer a question or issue you may have.
Background Hum
- If you are only using the microphone, turn the guitar
volume all the way down.
- If you are only using the guitar, turn the microphone
volume all the way down.
It Keeps Echoing
- When we designed it, we made it the echo sustain adjustable to the
extreme! Obviously the long sustain is just for fun. Simply
adjust the Sustain knob to a more realistic amount of echo sustain.
New Battery, but it Won't Turn On
- If you have the AC adapter plugged into the unit, but not into the wall,
it thinks the power is still coming from the AC adapter, so it isolates the
battery. Only when the AC adapter plug is removed from the MusicJam
unit will you be able to use the battery. Our design ensures that the AC
adapter and batter never work at the same time and the AC adapter will not
attempt to charge the battery (because we can't control when you use a
non-rechargeable battery with the MusicJam).
No Sound Coming from my iPod
- Volume turned up on the iPod? Sounds obvious, but we've done it...
- Is the included iPod cable (3.5mm male to male) connected from the top
of the iPod into the top-left recepticle on the MusicJam?
- Is the song on PAUSE?
No Sound Coming from my
Microphone
- The microphone has an ON/OFF switch. Check that it is ON and that the
XLR cable is connected properly to both the microphone and the MusicJam.
No Sound at All Coming out of my Stereo/Sound System
- Connect the MusicJam to your stereo using the included RCA cables from
the middle-left side of the MusicJam into the Red and White AUX inputs on
your stereo/sound system. Then select the input source as "AUX" on
your stereo.
A Knob Popped Off
- They are epoxied on at the factory, but during shipment and handling
it's possible that the glue bond may have broken. Use a drop of
plastic cement or epoxy on the top of the rail, then slide the knob back on.
If you lost a knob, let us know at the email address at the top of this page
and we'll send you another one.
